Why Twilight Collaborative?
The name "Twilight Collaborative" is about a sense of potential and transition. Twilight represents that beautiful, layered space between day and night, suggesting a time of change, possibility, and the emergence of new ideas.
It emphasizes the partnership and joint effort required to bring those possibilities to light, symbolizing the organization's role in helping communities move from vision to reality.
The firefly characterizes the bright spots in our communities that collectively make Central New York an amazing place to be.

Why This Non-Profit Was Created
Founder John Iorio noticed groups trying to do good in their community that didn’t have certain avenues of assistance or often lacked access to resources and support. These included groups that weren't non-profits, those unable to accept certain types of donations, and regular community members who simply didn't have the means to obtain what they needed.
The Twilight Collaborative aims to connect these groups with resources, either for free or by attaching the cost to successful grant applications, ensuring no charge to community members.

Need Grant or Donation Support?

Grant Writing
A volunteer from The Twilight Collaborative will act as a dedicated resource for groups, meeting with them to discuss grant opportunities, develop plans, complete applications, and oversee implementation. Examples include grants to support after-school tutoring, community health initiatives, or historical preservation projects.
Donation Collection
We collect donations, including small financial contributions from individuals, grants from organizations and charities, and physical items, to support those in need.
Collaborative Partner
We approach partnerships with a focus on shared goals. When additional partners are needed, we look for organizations that share our vision and are committed to working collaboratively to achieve a common objective.
